Spain Costa Del Sol

As we headed north from Malaga, we saw what seemed to be a large white building with a high stone wall around it, towering above the small town of Archidona. We found out that this was the upper village and the current Archidona is called the lower village.  The remnants of the upper village still remain, such as the Virgen de Gracia Church (which sits on the site of a former mosque) and the ruins of a Muslim alcazaba, or fortress. That is what we could see from quite a distance away.
